Connect to the landscape

Walking towards wellbeing

Each series of walks will be tailored to the needs of the group and will offer people a low threat creative experience combined with gentle exercise in a stimulating natural environment.
Individuals will be encouraged to connect with their own creativity and the landscape through a series of simple tasks or prompts.

OUR AIM:

Recharge, rebalance, restore.

Participants are not required to have any previous art experience.

The purpose of the walk is to encourage people to enjoy the natural environment by noticing and observing the world around them rather than making art.

The emphasis is on having a shared experience by walking, talking together.

Reconnect With Nature

‘Walking Sowena’ has been developed by Tough Dough in response to the needs arising from the Covid19 restrictions and their impact on the health and wellbeing of our communities in West Cornwall.

Our walks are aimed at encouraging people to be active, creative and connect with each other and the landscape.
An opportunity to enjoy the natural environment by noticing and observing the world around you and to have a nurturing, engaging experience outdoors. We will encourage you to explore your creativity through a series of simple prompts. You do not need to have any art experience.

We may roam through parkland, woodland, or coast, according to the needs and wants of the group. Each walk will take approximately 2 hours including rest stops.

There is a limited budget to support with transport if necessary.
